Privacy Policy

The short version

BetNav is built to collect as little personal data as possible. We do not require an account to use most of the app. If you use BetNav without signing in, your preferences (favourites, language, alerts, display settings) are stored locally on your own device — not on our servers. If you sign in, some of that data is synced to our servers so it follows you across devices (details below).

What we store on your device

Your language choice, favourite teams and matches, alert settings, and similar preferences are saved in your browser's local storage. If you are not signed in, this data stays only on your device — except price alerts when push notifications are enabled (see below). You can delete it at any time by clearing your browser data for this site.

What we collect on our servers

If you create an account or subscribe to Premium, we store the account details you provide (handled by our authentication provider, Clerk) and your subscription status.

When you are signed in, we also store your favourites (matches, teams, leagues, players), price alerts, bet slip, and tracked savings on our servers, linked to your account, so they sync across your devices. We retain this synced data to provide the service; it is not automatically erased when an account is closed, but we will delete it upon request (see "Your rights" below). You can sign out and clear your browser data to remove the local copy at any time.

If you enable browser push notifications (with or without an account), we store your browser's push subscription (a technical endpoint issued by your browser vendor) and the details of the price alerts you set, so our servers can deliver notifications even when the app is closed. Disabling notifications in the app removes the subscription from our servers; the alert details are removed when you delete the alerts.

We record anonymous, aggregate statistics — such as how often a promotional banner is shown or clicked — to understand which offers are useful. These statistics are not tied to your identity.

Third-party services

Odds and sports data are provided by third-party data providers (such as Sportradar). AI-powered features send your question text to AI providers (such as OpenAI or Anthropic) to generate a response; do not include personal information in AI prompts.

When you click through to a bookmaker, you leave BetNav and that bookmaker's own privacy policy applies. Some links are affiliate links, meaning BetNav may earn a commission — this does not change what you pay.

Cookies

We do not set advertising or tracking cookies. If you sign in, our authentication provider uses strictly necessary cookies to keep your session active.

Your rights

Under EU data-protection law (GDPR), you have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Because most of your data lives on your own device, deleting it is usually as simple as clearing your browser storage. For account-related requests, contact us and we will respond promptly.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be highlighted in the app.
